Many know me in the Mid-Michigan area as a television newscaster. That's what I do for a living. Spreading joy is what I do for life. I've been studying, researching, and reporting on amazing stories involving the mind-body-spirit connection for over 25 years.
Happiness is considered to be one of the most ancient and basic of human pursuits. It was even written in our Declaration of Independence in 1776! As Americans we have the right to the pursuit of happiness. More recently it's become a hot topic of study in the field of Positive Psychology. So how do researchers define happiness in 2012? They say happiness is the ability to sustain an overall sense of well-being over time.
Okay, so how do you do that when there are bills to pay, children to care for, a job that keeps you hopping and maybe even some health issues? Happiness it turns out is not something you have to look for outside of you, or is even available for purchase. It's truly an inside job. Feeling happy, abundant, content, peaceful are all qualities that one cannot buy, but are experiences and emotions that we can choose to feel. And when we focus on what is working in our lives and the intangibles: a sunset, looking into a loved-ones eyes and even helping someone else (taking our focus off our lack and being of joyful service) everything in life begins to shift into more self-satisfaction. Attaining happiness is about uncovering the joy already within us, not
searching somewhere. This is what I strive to help others
discover in my private consultations, workshops and classes.
It may sound difficult, but finding happiness and staying happy is within everyone's reach. I like what movie director Woody Allen says about it, "Everyone's already happy, only they don't know it."
Let me help you uncover what's already there: your birthright to bliss and a happier, healthier life.
Sending you joy all-ways,
